Donald Trump lost a seat to the Democrats after Christine Pellegrino triumphed over Republican Thomas Gargiulo in the District 9 State Assembly special election.
As you know, this district was won by Trump in the elections by 23 points.
Pellegrino beat Gargiulo with 3,338-2,282 in Suffolk County and 2,252-1,767 in Nassau County.
Pellegrino comes as a replacement of Republican Joseph Saladino who was seated since 2004.
“Thank you to all the volunteers and supporters who worked so hard during my campaign,” Pellegrino, thanked her supporters via Facebook. “I look forward to representing the people of the 9th Assembly District!”
Pellegrino worked under Bernie Sanders at the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
The 9th District includes Bay Shore, Copiague, East Massapequa, Fire Island, Gilgo Beach, Massapequa, North Amityville, North Babylon, Oak Beach-Captree, Seaford, South Farmingdale, West Babylon, West Bay Shore, West Islip, Babylon, Brightwaters and Massapequa Park.
This could easily mean trouble for Donald Trump, who is currently dealing with other relevant issues worldwide.
It is up to We the People to act on this and prevent it from happening again.
It is safe to say our President needs us and the time is more crucial than ever. The liberals cannot win anymore, and hopefully, this seat will mark the end of it.
