President Trump made it his mission not to stay quiet on the things that matter the most, so he decided to go through and make a statement that every American needs to read.
On Monday, Trump addressed the allegations that he was involved in an intel sharing with Russia, which put Israel as the leading ally in the matter.
“Just so you understand, I never mentioned the word or the name Israel. Never mentioned during that conversation,” Trump said of his Oval Office meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Sergey Kisylak, the Russian ambassador to the U.S.
“They’re all saying I did, so you have another story wrong,” he told reporters. “Never mentioned the word Israel.”
The entire drama began after The Washington Post released a story claiming Trump gave Russia relevant and top secret military information they could use in their future operations.
Afterwards, Israel was labeled as a partner in the intel sharing, which Trump clearly dismissed.
Still, in regards to the American-Israeli relationship, rex Tillerson pointed out trump has nothing to apologize for.
“I don’t know that there’s anything to apologize for,” he said. “To the extent the Israelis have any questions, or clarification, I’m sure we’re happy to provide that.”
