President Donald Trump just took a massive stand against the disrespectful NATO leaders who failed to pay their fair share for security.
Trump slammed the many member nations who refuse to pay the required 2 percent of their GDP toward the organization.
Donald Trump disparaged the 23 of the 28 member nations that are neglecting their responsibility, and a dedication ceremony for NATO’s new headquarters.
“Many of these nations owe massive amounts of money from past years,” said President Trump. “We have to make up for the many years lost.”
“This is not fair to the people and taxpayers of the United States,” Trump added. “If NATO countries made their full and complete contributions, then NATO would be even stronger than it is today, especially from the threat of terrorism.”
It looked like the assembled leaders were stunned by Trump’s remarks.
Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, recently elected French President Emmanuel Macron and Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel seemed surprised as they whispered among themselves while President Trump delivered his address.
It was the look of people who just realized that there is a no-nonsense man in the White House these days.
